Students excel in scholastic achievement

Ciara Boone of Washington, W.Va., was named to the Dean’s List at Olivet Nazarene University at Bourbonnais, Ill., for the Spring Semester. To qualify, a student must be enrolled full-time and have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Tyler Fenton of Williamstown, a graduate of Williamstown High School, has received an All-Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Tennis Honor as one of three men’s tennis student-athletes at Baldwin Wallace University at Beria, Ohio, to be selected to the 2025-26 All-Ohio Athletic Conference Team.

Fenton this season led the team with a career-high 15 singles wins for a record of 15-8. Fenton was second on the team with a career-best 13 doubles victories for a record of 13-11.

Fenton, who was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week on March 2, also was one of four Baldwin Wallace University men’s tennis players to receive 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and must have been in the lineup for 70% of the total matches played by the team that includes team scores.

Fenton has a 3.822 grade point average in sport management and business administration.

Students also have been named to the Southern New Hampshire University Spring 2026 Dean’s List. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean’s List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

They were Shauency Yost of Marietta, Averie Fuller of Ravenswood, Ashley Justice of Vienna, Megan Law of Parkersburg, Tracy Martin of Parkersburg, Kayla Davis of Parkersburg and Devin Enoch of Parkersburg.

Students at Cedarville (Ohio) University have been named to the Dean’s Honor List for the Spring 2026 semester. This recognition requires the student to obtain a 3.75 GPA or higher for the semester and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.

They were Rebecca Ball of Little Hocking, Daniel Braisted of Whipple and Margaret Morris of Marietta.

Jillian Frame of Little Hocking was named to the Dean’s List at Cedarville University for Spring 2026. This recognition requires the student to obtain a 3.50 GPA or higher for the semester and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.
