PARKERSBURG – Noah Strickler will be displaying his photographs during June at WesBanco Bank in downtown Parkersburg.

Strickler is a senior at Indian Valley High School where he is a member of the track and field team, and is secretary of the National Honor Society. He earned his Eagle Scout Rank at the age of 14 and serves as junior assistant Scoutmaster for Troup 429 of Gnadenhutten and a Webelo den leader for the Cub Scouts. Strickler has been playing the piano since first grade and plays piano and trumpet at his church, Deersville Faith and Fellowship.

Along with his photography passion, keeping up with his studies, being a Scout master and being involved at his church, Strickler is employed at Deersville General Store, “which is known to have the best ice cream in Ohio,” according to Strickler. During the summer he works for the Beckley’s Lawn Service.

Strickler has been under the mentorship of Danny Carpenter to establish his own unique form of photography. His favorite subjects include all forms of wildlife and outdoor scenery. Strickler will sit in the wilderness for hours waiting for the right wildlife subject to get a perfect photo shot.

His love of photography developed through his mother, Amy. They would spend their time together photographing a variety of subjects.

“One of my favorite wildlife subjects to photograph are bald eagles because that was the first wildlife I photographed,” said Strickler.

Strickler loves the outdoors, is an avid hunter and enjoys fishing and kayaking with his dad, Tom.

Strickler has had his photographs displayed at his local fair and won first and second places and Best In Show at a library competition.

“Three of my photographs were selected to be in the Elk County Visitors Center of Benezette, Pennsylvania, 2026 raffle calendar,” said Strickler. “Nine of my photographs were used to make sound panels at the Norma Johnson Brandywine Center Community Room in Sugarcreek, Ohio.”

People can follow Strickler’s photography journey at his Facebook page, “Adventures Through The Lens.”

Strickler’s photography exhibit may be viewed at WesBanco Bank, 415 Market St., Parkersburg, during regular business hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.
