June Shop, Swap and Stroll Wednesday

The June Shop, Swap and Stroll will be from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday. This event is for farmers market, craft, food truck, flea market and yard sale vendors. There is no cost to participate as a vendor, although the Village of Lowell requires a small fee to set up as a food truck vendor. Registration and set up for vendors will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Donations are welcome and appreciated. The donations collected go to the upkeep and maintenance of Lowell Buell Park. Ice cream social Saturday

The Salem Township Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Ice Cream Social at 4 p.m. Saturday at Salem-Liberty Elementary School. The menu includes ice cream, baked steak or chicken thighs, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, applesauce, bread and butter, hot dogs, desserts and beverages. There will be a country store open from 4-7 p.m. and then drawings will begin. Bingo will also be from 4-7 p.m. There will be bounce houses open from 4-7 p.m. and other playground equipment will be available. Entertainment will be provided by Pick’n on Country at 4 p.m.

Friends of Lawrence School reunion Saturday

The Friends of Lawrence School have planned the annual school reunion for Saturday at Frontier High/Middle School. Social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be at 6 p.m. Each reservation is $25 and includes a meal, made by the Little Muskingum Fire Department, of baked steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, roll, desserts by Dawns Desserts and a drink. There will be a raffle for Texas Roadhouse gift cards. Please mail your reservation, with payment, to Marlene Rouse, 1575 Bear Run Road, Reno OH 45773, by May 21.

Chicken BBQ dinner June 27

The Graysville and Community Volunteer Fire Department, 38851 State Route 26, Graysville, will hold a chicken barbecue dinner at 4:30 p.m. June 27. The menu includes chicken, baked potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, rolls, desserts and drinks.

Free legal advice clinic

The Washington County Bar Association and volunteer attorneys are offering a free advice clinic from 6-8 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month. The clinic will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 501 Fourth St., Marietta (enter through the back door off the alley behind the church from Wooster Street). Walk-ins are welcome.

Alzheimer’s support group

The Alzheimer’s Association support group meetings in the area include: Marietta Support Group, 10-11:30 a.m. first Fridays at the O’Neill Center, 333 Fourth St., with facilitator Krissy Kearns, 937-974-2387; Belpre Chamber of Commerce, 1-2:40 p.m. second Mondays at 713 Park Drive, with facilitator Susie Casto.
