Marietta Main Street will celebrate the start of summer on Saturday with the June Shop Hop from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. downtown.

Nearly 20 businesses will participate, with every purchase at one of those establishments earning a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize basket. Participating businesses will be highlighted by balloons outside their entrances and will be offering special promotions, sales and discounts.

Jennifer Tinkler, executive director of Marietta Main Street, said in a release that the seasonal Shop Hops bring the downtown retailers, all independently owned, a much-appreciated boost in traffic.

“There’s something special about spending a day in downtown Marietta, and our Shop Hops showcase that perfectly,” she said. “They bring people together to shop, dine, explore and discover the businesses that give our downtown its unique character.”

Seasonal Shop Hops are among multiple events hosted by Marietta Main Street with the goal of bringing visitors downtown.
