Wolf Creek BOE meeting change

The Wolf Creek Board of Education has changed the regular July meeting from July 20 to July 27. The meeting will take place at Waterford High School Library at 6:30 pm.

Rosenlieb reunion July 26

The 88th annual August and Theresia (Miller) Rosenlieb reunion will be July 26 at the Midway Community Center, approximately 6 miles North of Fly, Ohio, on SR 800. There will be a covered dish lunch at 12:30 p.m. followed by visiting and a short business meeting. Any questions please call reunion secretary, Charlotte (Rosenlieb) Wells at 740-865-3502.

First Baptist Church VBS Aug. 3-6

Joy Story Vacation Bible School will be held from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 3-6, at First Baptist Church of Marietta. VBS is a free event and is hosted by the NextGen Kids Ministry. Children from three years of age to fifth grade are invited to join Woody, Buzz and the gang to learn more about the life of Jesus through Bible stories, crafts, games and adventures. Outdoor Quilt Show Aug. 8 at Cedar Lakes

The third annual Outdoor Quilt Show -- modern quilts made by members of the West Virginia Modern Quilt Guild, will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Cedar Lakes Conference Center in Ripley. Approximately 100 modern quilts will be hanging on and around the historic cabin at Cedar Lakes. Visitors are invited to visit the exhibit, where guild members will be on hand to answer questions about the quilts. This event is free and open to the public. The rain date for the show is Aug. 15 at the same location.

Book discussion at Lock #4

Every second Monday at 4:30 p.m. there will be an informal book discussion at Lock #4 Coffee Shop, 123 Third St., Beverly. A small drink will be provided by the Beverly Branch Library.

Ice cream social Aug. 1 in Marietta

The Oak Grove Fire and EMS will be holding its annual ice cream social from 4-9 p.m. Aug. 1, at the fire station, 102 Oak Grove Lane, Marietta. Guests can look forward to barbecue chicken dinners, hot dogs, sloppy joes, pizza, ice cream and desserts. The event will feature the band, Plan B, inflatables, barrel rides for kids and a country store.

IT specialist available at library

An IT specialist will be available to help with technology questions from 1-3:30 p.m on Tuesdays and 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Fridays at the Marietta Branch Library. They will teach how to use cell phones, computers, tablets, the internet or Microsoft Office programs.

Free takeout meal on first Fridays

Christ United Methodist Church, 301 Wooster St., Marietta, will offer a free takeout meal from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the first Friday of the month. All are welcome.
