Coffeehouse Series starts July 21 in New Martinsville

NEW MARTINSVILLE - The ArtsLink 2026 Coffeehouse Series kicks off 6:30 p.m. July 21 with a show by Shortline Junction on the performance deck of the Francis Creative Arts Center, Maple Avenue and Washington Street, New Martinsville.

The show is free and sponsored by First Mutual Bank.

The bluegrass band, based in Wetzel County, was formed in 2020. Ben Tharp, the senior member of the band, has performed music since 1964.

Members of the band are Sharp on the flat top guitar and lead vocals, Dustin Terpinning on the five-string banjo, George Daniels on the upright bass and tenor vocals and Jim Simpson playing the mandolin.

Light refreshments will be served and lawn chairs are recommended. The concert will be moved indoors in the event of inclement weather.
