Students from the region have received academic honors.
They were:
Paul Teltscher of Parkersburg has received Faculty Honors for Spring 2026 at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have earned a 4.0 academic average for the semester.
Faith Pickens of Williamstown has been named to the Dean’s List at the University of Tampa (Fla.) for the Spring 2026 semester. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean’s list.
Pickens is a member of the Class of 2028 majoring in allied health.
Fairmont State University has named lifetime inductees into Gamma Sigma Theta, the National Honor Society for geospatial technology in West Virginia.
Brody Sheldon Seckman of Tyler County, a survey engineering major, is among the seven students inducted into the honor society.
Anderson Knapp of Belpre, Marie Rauch of Lowell, Mackenzie Pottmeyer of Marietta, Dawson Clevenger of Williamstown and Hadyn Brown of Friendly have graduated from Miami University at Oxford, Ohio, at 2026 Spring Commencement.
Students also have been named to the Spring 2026 President’s and Dean's lists at Miami University.
Named to the President's List were Madelyn Duvall of Marietta, Molly Mack of Marietta, Karissa Caldwell of Waterford and Anderson Knapp of Belpre. Students on the list represent the top 3%.
Named to the Dean's List were Mackenzie Pottmeyer of Marietta and Webb Hall of Marietta. Undergraduate students ranked in the top 20% are named to the Dean’s List.
Miami University Regionals has named students to the part-time Dean’s List who earned high academic standing, were enrolled in fewer than 12 graded credit hours and had a GPA of 3.6 or higher during the 2026 spring semester. They were Patrick Casino of Marietta, Hadyn Brown of Friendly and Dawson Clevenger of Williamstown.
Michael George of Middlebourne was named to the spring 2026 Dean's List at East Tennessee State University at Johnson City. Undergraduate students must pass a minimum of 12 credits with no grade below B- in any course taken and a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Ashlee Hardesty of Mineral Wells has received a master's of science in nursing from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa at spring commencement.
Baylee VanKirk of Ellenboro graduated with a master's of education from the College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville at Spring Commencement.
Kylee Tait of Marietta has been named to Spring 2026 Dean’s List at Campbellsville (Ky.) University. Students who earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher are recognized for their academic accomplishments and dedication to excellence.
