MARIETTA – Rural Action and project partners are inviting elderberry growers and foragers to bring their harvest to free, open-house events to use destemming equipment which processes large volumes of elderberries in minutes.
No registration is required for these free open-house events.
Locally, the following open houses are planned:
* 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, Warmke Farm, 622 Eighth St., Marietta.
* 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, Rural Action's Herb Hub (ACEnet Nelsonville Business Center), 296 S. Harper St., Nelsonville.
* 3:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, Chesterhill Produce Auction, 8380 Wagoner Road, Chesterhill.
Native plants will be available for sale at these events as well.
