MARIETTA — The family behind three Wings Etc. Grill & Pub restaurants in southeastern Ohio has donated more than $141,000 to local schools, charities and community groups since opening its first location in 2015, according to a release from the company.
Chad and Missy Huck and Kyle and Kristen Huck own Wings Etc. locations in Marietta, Belpre and Caldwell. According to the release, their charitable giving totaled $141,191.91 as of April 2026, including $75,840.05 from the Marietta and Belpre locations and $65,351.86 from the Caldwell location.
“We never say no,” Kyle Huck said in the release.
The donations have supported a range of causes, including school teams, youth groups, 4-H groups, Little League teams, travel teams, charitable golf outings and benefits for people facing illness or injury, according to the release. The restaurants also have provided Wing Nut Bucks for fundraisers such as the BrAva Mom Prom in Marietta, which raises money for childhood cancer research, and the Strecker Cancer Center in Belpre for holiday gift bags for cancer patients.
The restaurants also host Dine-To-Donate events, where organizations receive 15% of pre-taxed food and soft drink sales from invited guests who dine in or order carryout with a fundraiser flier. The three restaurants average 20 to 25 Dine-To-Donate events each year, according to the release.
One benefit event raised $923, the release said.
“We’re all very active in the communities, and we make ourselves pretty accessible,” Kyle Huck said in the release. “We hear everything, both positive and negative.”
Huck said the fundraising events also bring community members together.
“Dine-To-Donate often brings communities of people together, and it’s an amazing thing to see,” he said. “We also love to see individuals coming together to raise money for wonderful causes, and we are so thankful to be a part of that.”
The Hucks also support local schools through a program called Feed the Teams, which provides a meal for one sports team each year from each area high school. Other sports teams receive 15% off their bill, according to the release.
Last fall, the restaurant provided meals for about 175 Marietta College football players and coaches. Chad and Missy Huck’s son attends Marietta College and plays football there, according to the release.
“When parents come to town to visit their kids, Wings Etc. is one of the first places they choose,” Kyle Huck said. “Providing a meal to the team at the beginning of the season allows us to make connections with the players, coaches and families. It’s a win-win for sure.”
The restaurants also participate in charitable efforts through the Wings Etc. Foundation, which supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The locations host an annual Day of Giving and give customers the opportunity to round up their tabs. Kyle Huck serves on the foundation’s planning committee, according to the release.
Colton LeTourneau, senior director of marketing for Wings Etc., said in the release that the Hucks’ community involvement has contributed to their success as franchisees.
“Franchisees who stay as involved and connected as the Hucks are tend to build strong, successful businesses,” LeTourneau said. “They’re engaged in every aspect of their restaurants, and I think that’s what makes them not only great franchisees, but great people as well.”
The Marietta Wings Etc. opened in August 2015 at 101 Crooked Run Lane. The Caldwell location opened in January 2018 at 44360 West Hills Lane, and the Belpre location opened in March 2023 at 1804 Washington Blvd.
Organizations interested in hosting a Dine-To-Donate event can apply at wingsetc.com/dine-to-donate or stop by a restaurant to speak with a manager, according to the release.
