PARKERSBURG - The "American Pickers" TV show is returning to West Virginia and Ohio this fall.
The documentary series airs on the History Channel and follows skilled "pickers" hunting for valuable antiques around the country.
According to releases from the show's producers, episodes are planned to be filmed in West Virginia and Ohio, as well as Indiana and Michigan in October.
The show is looking for leads to meet "characters with amazing stories and fun items," the release says. The goal is to give historically significant or rare items a new lease on life while learning about the nation's past along the way.
People with a unique item and story to tell who are ready to sell are invited to send their name, phone number, location and description and photos of their collection to americanpickers@cineflix.com or call 646-493-2184.
The Pickers do not utilize stores, flea markets, malls, auction businesses, museums or anything open to the public.
The show came to Jackson County in 2022, visiting the former Hunt’s General Store, which was once a catch-all place that sold milk, groceries, hardware, guns, appliances and clothing.
