Peoples Bank Foundation donates $2K to The Arc

The Arc of the Mid-Ohio Valley has received $2,000 from the Peoples Bank Foundation to support programs and services for individuals with intellectual, cognitive and related developmental disabilities.
"Local partnerships are essential to helping us fulfill our mission," Michelle Curtis, executive director of The Arc of the Mid-Ohio Valley, said. "This gift will help strengthen the services that support individuals with developmental disabilities across our region while building an inclusive and supportive community."
The donation was presented to Curtis by Melissa Schaffer, manager of Peoples Bank's Division Street branch in Parkersburg, during a check presentation at the branch.
The Arc of the Mid-Ohio Valley promotes the well-being of children and adults with intellectual, cognitive and related developmental disabilities and opportunities for inclusion, independence and meaningful community engagement. The funds will support the organization's ongoing programming and services for local individuals and families.
“One of the most meaningful ways we can give back is by supporting organizations that are making a difference locally,” Schaffer said. “We’re proud to support The Arc of the Mid-Ohio Valley and help further its mission.”
The Peoples Bank Foundation offers grants to 501(c)(3) organizations that meet needs, expand opportunities and improve access to resources across the communities served by Peoples Bank. Peoples Bank Foundation has awarded over $8 million in grants and scholarships since its inception in 2003.
