A creek at the Barlow Fairgrounds on Wednesday as the area continues to deal with the effects of heavy rain earlier this week. The area remains under a flood warning until 8 a.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service in Charleston, as flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. According to the warning, excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. There is a continuing chance of rain today and into tomorrow. (Photo by Art Smith)
