PARKERSBURG -- The West Virginia Symphony Parkersburg will present the second annual Symphony of Screams, featuring the Ohio University Symphony, at 7 p.m. Friday at the Center on Market.

Families across the Mid-Ohio Valley are invited to enjoy a festive celebration of music and Halloween fun, according to a press release about the event. General admission is $10 for adults and free for children. Guests may also purchase a VIG ("Very Important Ghost") ticket for premier seating. Tickets can be purchased at WVSOP.org/Tickets or at the door.

Costumes are encouraged, and everyone who attends in costume will be entered into a drawing.

"We are excited to bring Symphony of Screams back for a second year," said Senta Goudy, a representative of the West Virginia Symphony League at Parkersburg. "This event gives us an opportunity to promote the Symphony's upcoming season while offering a fun and exciting musical experience for children and families across the Mid-Ohio Valley."

"We are delighted that the West Virginia Symphony Parkersburg has chosen Center on Market as the venue for this event for a second year," said Sydney Weber, director of the Center on Market.
