MARIETTA - The Washington County Democrats will hold their annual Fall Picnic from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the Marietta Shrine Club.
Candidates for Washington County Commission, the Ohio House of Representatives and the U.S. House of Representatives will be in attendance, along with advocates for local and state issues on the November ballot.
The keynote speaker will be state Rep. Kent Smith, presenter of "This Week in the State Legislature," who will talk about what's happening in the Ohio Legislature and the importance of getting out to vote.
Tickets are $40, with children 12 and younger admitted free. The menu will feature pulled pork sliders, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, slaw and dessert. There will also be a live auction featuring themed baskets.
