Selfie, mural station design contest underway in Parkersburg

The art center and Downtown PKB are holding a design contest for a selfie station and mural at Unity Cafe this year.

PARKERSBURG –A contest for the design of a selfie station and mural in downtown Parkersburg has been organized by the Parkersburg Art Center and Downtown PKB.

Contest participants will designing a selfie station and mural for Unity Cafe at 212 Seventh St. with the theme of “unity in mind.”

The winning entry will be painted on the side of the building facing Juliana Street by the artist.

With no cost to enter, the winning artist will be awarded $500. Paint will be provided to paint the winning design on the Unity building.

Deadline to submit an entry is May 31 and any artist 16 and older may enter. All work submitted must be original. No reproductions of copyrighted or other material will be accepted.

The Parkersburg Art Center and Downtown PKB are sponsoring a contest to design a selfie station and mural on this wall at Unity Cafe, 212 Seventh St. Entries are due May 31.

The winner will have six weeks from announcement of such to complete the painting of the selfie station/mural.
