Meetings

¯ Marietta Amateur Radio Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Club House, 618 Hartline Road, off of Stanleyville Road, Washington County 42. The meeting will be conducted following COVID-19 indoor meeting restrictions. For more information, call 740-373-4191 or 740-374-3823.

¯ Reno Water and Sewer District will hold its regularly scheduled meeting at 6 p.m. May 18 in Reno Water Office Building, 170 Mount Tom Road. Public is welcome. Safe distancing will be practiced and masks are requested due to COVID.

¯ Liberty Township will hold 2021 regular monthly meetings at 7 p.m. the second Monday of each month.

¯ Decatur Township will hold its monthly public meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at the township building on Welch Road in Cutler.

¯ Ludlow Township will hold regular monthly meetings the last day of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the town hall.

¯ The Tunnel-Warren Chapel United Methodist Churches will provide free community meals from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday as drive-through pick-ups in the lower parking lot. The menu includes meatloaf, hash brown potato casserole, mixed vegetables, a dinner roll, dump cake, and bottled water. To reserve a meal, call Amy at 740-516-0847. ¯ The Castle 2021 Season of Historic Marietta cemetery tours will begin at 10 a.m. and noon May 15 with "Align on the Colors! Stories of the Civil War" of Oak Grove Cemetery located at 8th and Washington Streets. CDC and Ohio Department of Health guidelines will be followed. Reservations required via online registration and payment by calling 740-373-4180. ¯ The Castle will hold the cemetery tour "Align on the Colors! Stories of the Civil War" at 10 a.m. and noon May 15. Tour begins at Oak Grove Cemetery at Eighth and Washington, Marietta. The cost is $10. For more information, visit mariettacastle.org.

¯ A rabies shot clinic for dogs and cats will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. May 15 at the Washington County Health Dept., 342 Muskingum Drive, Marietta. The cost is $10 per animal. Dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in carriers. All animals must be at least 12 weeks old. Social distancing and masks required.

¯ The Parkersburg Coin Club is hosting its 55th Annual Spring Coin Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 15 at the Lion's Club in Boaz, 315 Valley Manor Lane; signs will be posted. Dealers will be available to buy, sell and trade coins and precious metals. Admission is $1. Pandemic protocols will be observed. ¯ The Little Muskingum Volunteer Fire Dept. will hold a fish and chicken dinner beginning at 4:30 p.m. May 15 at the firehouse, 15015 SR 26, Marietta.

¯ The Ohio River Sternwheel Festival will host its eleventh annual Ohio River Sternwheel Festival 5K Run and Walk May 29 at East Muskingum Park in Marietta. ¯ First Congregational Church United Church of Christ (318 Front St. in Marietta) will continue its weekly free breakfast as take-out from 8:30 to 10 a.m. each Saturday. All are welcome.

¯ Safetytown, originally scheduled for June 2021, has been canceled due to the pandemic. The event is currently scheduled for 2022, including instruction for children who have missed their anticipated Safetytown dates. For more information, call 740-350-2323.

¯ Marshall Alumni of the Mid-Ohio Valley will host the Big Green Coaches' Tour at the annual Rally by the River. The Rally will be held at 5:30 p.m. June 3 at Buzzie Dils in Vienna (behind Walmart). Tickets cost $20 per person at the gate and free for children 12 and under. Ticket includes food and beverages courtesy of the North End
