¯ A two vehicle crash occurred Jan. 12 on Ohio 60 near the intersection with Ohio 339 in Waterford Township. Jeffrey W. Lang, 62, of 17861 State Route 676, Marietta, was turning westbound on Ohio 339 after traveling northbound on Ohio 60. Jane A. Gillespie, 66, of 12929 State Route 339, Vincent, was driving eastbound on Ohio 339 in her 2010 Ford F-350 and stopped at a red light. When Lang, driving a 2005 Peterbilt 378, attempted to make the turn, he struck the left front of Gillespie’s vehicle with his trailer. No citations were issued.

¯ Justin M. Offenberger, 29, of 500 Echo Valley Road, Waterford, was traveling northbound on Ohio 339 near milepost 17 in Watertown Township Jan. 21 when he went off the side of the roadway, crossing the centerline in a 2007 Toyota Sequoia. After crossing the centerline, his vehicle went off the left side of the roadway before striking a guardrail and coming to a rest on the right side of the roadway. He was cited for driving in marked lanes.

¯ A one vehicle crash happened Jan. 22 on Ohio 821 near milepost 7 in Salem Township. John Joseph Hendershot, 41, of 109 Second St., Lower Salem, was traveling southbound on Ohio 821 in a 2009 Nissan Maxima when he went off the right side of the roadway before striking a ditch. He was cited for operating without being in reasonable control of the vehicle.

¯ A single car accident occurred Jan. 23 at the intersection of Township Road 347 and Township Road 520 in Marietta Township. A 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier licensed to Bridget L. Morris, of 3749 Bells Run Road, Newport, was going southbound on Township Road 347 when it went off the left side of the roadway and struck a guardrail. The vehicle then went off the right side of the roadway before striking a boulder and overturning in the roadway. No citations were issued as the driver left the scene of the accident.

¯ William T. LaForest, 61 of 406 Main St. Apt. A, New Matamoras, was cited for operating without being in reasonable control of the vehicle Jan. 25 after driving off the right side of Ohio 7 near milepost 52 in Grandview Township.

After driving off the right side, he struck a guardrail before going off the left side of the roadway and striking a ditch in his 1998 Dodge Ram.

¯ A single car accident happened Jan. 27 in Watertown Township near milepost 15. Laken Mae Veyon, 20, of 3527 Wells Road Apt. 2, Waterford, was traveling westbound on Ohio 676 when she veered her 2015 Mazda 3 off the right side of the roadway and struck a fence. No citations were issued.

¯ Joshua William Lynch, 17, of 1710 State Route 550, Bartlett, was traveling eastbound on Ohio 550 near milepost 2 in Wesley Township Jan. 27 when he went off the right side of the roadway in a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu and struck a traffic sign. No citations were issued.

¯ A single vehicle accident occurred Jan. 28 on Ohio 60 near milepost 5 in Newport Township. Jonathan C. Echon, 26, of 4070 State Route 60 in Marietta, was traveling northbound in a 2005 Hyundai Elantra when he failed to negotiate a left turn and struck the guardrail. He was cited for operating without being in reasonable control of the vehicle.

¯ A one car accident happened Sunday on County Road 25 near milepost 1 in Newport Township. Brandon Tyler Olivier, 25, of 1035 Smith Hill Road, Marietta, was traveling northbound on County Road 25 when he failed to negotiate a curve in his 2016 Toyota 4-Runner.

He drove off the right side of the roadway, striking a guardrail and bridge rail. He was cited for operating without being in reasonable control of the vehicle.

¯ A single car crash occurred Monday near milepost 4 in Wesley Township. Marissa D. Cobeil, 27, of 223 Watertown Road, Watertown, was driving eastbound on Ohio 550 when her 2015 Chrysler 300 went off the right side of the road, striking a sign and fence. She was cited for operating without being in reasonable control of the vehicle.

¯ A one vehicle accident occurred Monday at the intersection of Ohio 339 and County Road 85 in Belpre Township. Glenn D. Norosky, 56, of 147 St. Andrews Blvd., Belpre, was driving southbound on Ohio 339.

He was turning his 2008 Ford Escape left onto County Road 85 when he went off the right side of the roadway and struck two signs before going into a ditch. He was cited for operating without being in reasonable control of the vehicle.

Arrests/Washington County

The following individuals were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

¯ Paul Kenneth Christopher, 51, of 1756 Barth Road, Belpre, was arrested for assault and probation violation, both misdemeanors.

¯ Brian Keith Sidwell, 40, of 2135 16th St., Parkersburg, was arrested for fugitive from justice.

¯ Michael Von Richards, 43, of 1245 McGill Road, Vincent, was arrested for inducing panic and possessing drug abuse instruments, both misdemeanors.

¯ Mitchell Ryan Rowles, 26, of 22556 Second St., Mandeville, La., was arrested for harassment by inmate, a felony; and obstructing official business, OVI, driving under suspension, reckless operation and failure to display plates, all misdemeanors.

¯ Paul James Hostottle, 18, of 90 Windy Ridge Road, Little Hocking, was arrested for underage consumption, a misdemeanor.

¯ Johanna Lynn Riffle, 49, of Little Hocking, was arrested for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

¯ Noelle Frances Martin, 35, of 305 Third St., Lowell, was arrested for driving under suspension and no seatbelt, both misdemeanors.

¯ Robert Lee McDonald, 25, of 3404 Highland Ave., Meridian, Miss., was arrested for improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle, a felony.

¯ Ravion Tazadee Radcliff, 22, of 5234 Russel Tompton Road, Toomuba, Miss., was arrested for improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle, a felony.

¯ Levi Michael Kuhn, 27, of 1328 Lancaster St., Marietta, was arrested for two counts driving under suspension, breach of recognizance, probation violation, and no seatbelt, all misdemeanors.

¯ Michael Wayne Grahame, 41, of 1020 Killwell Run Road, Marietta, was arrested for receiving stolen property, a misdemeanor.

¯ Kevin Andrew Williams, 33, of 1308 Williamson Ave., Apt. 1F, New Matamoras, was arrested for three counts of nonsupport of dependents.

¯ Dean Leroy Phillips, 42, of 404 ¢ Montgomery St., Marietta, was arrested for theft and probation violation, both misdemeanors.

¯ Mark Everett Swaney, 54, homeless, was arrested for probation violation, a felony.

¯ Eric Lee Harmon, 31, of 1104 Oak Hill Road, Cutler, was arrested for possession of drugs, complicity to aggravated possession of drugs, and abduction, all felonies.

¯ Jonathan Lee Arthurs, 28, of Belpre, was arrested for child endangering and domestic violence, both misdemeanors.

¯ Zach Charles Powell, 36, of 134 Marie St., Parkersburg, was arrested for illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension, both misdemeanors.

¯ John Aaron Givens, 40, of Marietta, was arrested for expired plates and driving under suspension, both misdemeanors; and domestic violence and possession of drugs, both felonies.

¯ Shawn Eugene Covey, 43, of 713 Green St., Apt. A, Marietta, was arrested for disorderly conduct and contempt, both misdemeanors.
