Reports/Ohio State Highway Patrol
¯ Matthew Scott Glover, 19, of 8929 State Route 555, Cutler, was northbound on Ohio 555 in Decatur Township on Aug. 5. His 2013 Jeep Patriot went off the left side of the roadway and down a small embankment before striking several trees and overturning. He was taken by Little Hocking Squad to Marietta Memorial Hospital-Belpre with suspected minor injuries. Glover was cited for operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control of it.
¯ A 2019 Nissan Versa and a 2012 GMC Sierra were parked in a parking lot on an ODNR Road in Homer Township on Aug. 6. Cody Allen Lee McLaughlin, 28, of 117 Rogers St., Corning, attempted to back the Nissan eastbound from a parking space and struck the GMC which is owned by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. McLaughlin was cited for moving a vehicle without making sure it could be done with reasonable safety.
¯ Laiana D. Nichols, 43, of 11 Suzanne St., Little Hocking, was southbound on Ohio 339 in Barlow Township on Aug. 11. A 2013 Buick Verano owned by Thressa D. Cochran of 2050 Braun Road, Belpre, was stopped on Ohio 339. Nichols failed to maintain assured clear distance ahead in her 2017 Chevrolet Traverse and struck Cochran’s vehicle. Nichols was cited for not maintaining an assured clear distance ahead.
¯ Logan Riley Kindler, 16, of 5720 Buchanan Road, Waterford, was traveling eastbound on Township Road 143 in Waterford Township on Aug. 13. Garin M. Farmer, 54, of 2565 Plum Run Road, Waterford pulled out of a private drive in a 2005 Chrysler 300 to travel westbound. Kindler struck Farmer’s vehicle with his 1992 Dodge Ram. Farmer was cited for not yielding right of way to traffic approaching on the roadway to be entered.
Reports/Washington County
¯ A deputy began an investigation Friday into a storage building in Beverly being tampered with and items being removed. This case remains under investigation.
¯ A deputy issued citations on Friday to Timothy L. Warren of Nelsonville for speed, 72 mph in a 60 mph zone; to Mary Haislep of Coolville for speed, 75 mph in a 60 mph zone; and Emma Williams of Belpre for speed, 53 mph in a 40 mph zone.
¯ A deputy was dispatched Sunday to 1094 Clement Ave., Apt. C, Belpre, to a report of a fight at this location. Bobbie Walker, Samantha Bostic, and Zachary Crawford were at the location.
Walker and Crawford were actively engaged in a verbal argument until the deputy separated them. Walker stated she was there to help her daughter, and prevent this type of incident from occurring. While this was taking place, Bostic arrived on scene to assist her son, Crawford, in moving out.
Walker stated an argument took place which turned physical when Bostic punched Walker in the mouth, and Walker punched Bostic back. Crawford then began striking Walker in the head. All subjects had minor injuries consistent with being in a fight.
Bobbie J. Walker, 42, of 1415 Putnam Howe Drive, Belpre, Samantha S. Bostic, 39, of 1819 Liberty St., Parkersburg, and Zackary Ryan Crawford, 19, of 1718 Washington Ave., Parkersburg, will all be summoned into Marietta Municipal Court on a charge of disorderly conducting/fighting.
¯ Robert Tate reported the theft of rims from a disabled vehicle on his property on Thursday. Tate knew the individual that had taken the rims to be Dustin L. Brooks, 1776 Briggs Hill Road, Belpre. Brooks was contacted and he allowed the deputy to check the property.
Tate contacted the deputy on Monday again stating he had proof that Brooks had his rims. Brooks was contacted again and admitted to taking them and placing them on a vehicle. Brooks removed the rims and returned them to Tate. The rims were valued at $600. Brooks will be summoned into Marietta Municipal Court on a theft charge.
Arrests/Washington County
The following individuals were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:
¯ Tara Renee Jenkins, 43, of Chesterhill, was arrested for probation violation, a misdemeanor.
¯ Nickolaus Sprouse, 25, of Marietta, was arrested for probation violation, a felony.
¯ Jamal Raheem Best, 35, of Reynoldsburg, was arrested for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, corrupting another with drugs, and violating a protection order, all felonies.
¯ Gregory Lee Shuerger, 27, of New Matamoras, was arrested for breach of recognizance, falsification, criminal damaging and criminal trespass, all misdemeanors.
¯ Winter Lynn Delancey, 31, of Caldwell, was arrested for theft and contempt of court, both misdemeanors.
¯ Tyrone Anthony Taylor, 56, of Lowell, was arrested for aggravated menacing, a felony; and unlawful restraint and criminal damaging, both misdemeanors.
¯ Gary Lee Riel, 46, of Beverly, was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors.
¯ Shannah Maria Turpin, 26, of Marietta, was arrested for burglary, breaking and entering, theft, all felonies; and theft and breach of recognizance, both misdemeanors.
