The Washington County Career Center announces its Students Solving Problems members for the 2021-22 school year. The purpose of SSP is to engage area students in developing solutions to community health related problems and to provide career development for the engaged youth in the fields of health, behavioral health, philanthropy, and other community support options. The students are to lead the work and identify the issues that they intend to address. The advisor, Mrs. Shari Elfline, along with other adults, are to support the students during the process.

A few of the many events or activities SSP members will participate in this school year are the Recovery Walk, Red Ribbon Week (drug prevention/awareness campaign), Men in Pink (breast cancer fundraiser), Fall Clean Sweep (clean up garden beds, rake/bag leaves, etc. in Marietta), and Light Up Downtown (hang lights/wreaths on lamp posts in Marietta).
