¯ A deputy began an investigation Monday into a breaking and entering/burglary in Decatur Township where tools were removed. This case remains under investigation.
¯ A deputy began an investigation Tuesday into a damaging complaint in Belpre Township. This case remains under investigation.
¯ A deputy was dispatched Tuesday to Bear Run Road, Lawrence Township, to a report of Samuel Hartshorn assaulting a subject. Hartshorn was reported to have been drinking most of the day and a verbal altercation began. After completing the investigation, Samuel A Hartshorn, 43, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence.

¯ Charles Clinton Carpenter, 37, of Marietta, was arrested for failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer, driving under OVI suspension, fictitious plates, driving under OVI suspension, fictitious plates, reckless operation, failure to comply with order or signal of PO, and probation violation, all misdemeanors.
