¯ A deputy responded to an incident Friday in Barlow Township. While en route, the deputy was advised that the subject in question was leaving the residence. The subject was located driving erratically and almost caused a traffic crash. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Matthew Moyers, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol/drugs. Moyers appeared unsteady on his feet, flailing his arms and was not able to stand still. He admitted to using methamphetamine a few days prior. He performed poorly on the field sobriety tests. Matthew Robert Moyers, 44, of 10915 State Route 550, Vincent, was placed under arrest and charged with OVI and a parole holder.

¯ A deputy responded Friday to 13228 State Route 555, Wesley Township, to a report of Rodney Hill's two dogs going onto a neighbor's property and acting aggressive towards the property owner. A summons is being requested for Rodney Dakota Hill, 21, of 13228 State Route 555, Cutler, on a charge of failing to restrain his dog(s).

¯ A lieutenant began an investigation Friday into a theft in Belpre Township. The subject made good on the amount owed. Case closed.

¯ A sergeant began an investigation Saturday into an assault in Dunham Township.

Arrests/Washington County

The following individuals were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

¯ Brayden Zachary McCauley, 25, of Waterford, was arrested for rape, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and probation violation, felonies.

¯ Matthew Robert Moyers, 44, of Marietta, was arrested for a probation violation, a felony, and driving while under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor.

¯ Eldon Ray Pierce Jr., 45, of Cutler, was arrested for nonsupport of dependents.

¯ Allen Dale Ball, 39, of Belpre, was arrested for drug paraphernalia and parole violation.

¯ Linda Elizabeth Slonaker, 38, of New Matamoras, was arrested for theft and contempt, both felonies, breach of recognizance and theft, both misdemeanors.
