Reward being offered for info on arson

The Division of State Fire Marshal's Fire and Explosion Investigation Bureau is seeking tips from the public regarding an intentionally set fire at a sorority house in Marietta.

The Marietta Fire Department was dispatched to 322 Fifth St. at approximately 6:30 p.m. Nov. 9. The residence serves as the Marietta College sorority house for Alpha Xi Delta.

The investigation is being conducted by the State Fire Marshal, Marietta Fire and Police Departments. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered by the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this fire.

Of particular interest to the investigators is any photos or videos taken before or during the fire, including home security or doorbell cameras, as well as witnesses on the scene.
