The following construction projects are anticipated to affect local highways in the coming weeks.
All work is weather permitting.
WASHINGTON
COUNTY
¯ Interstate 77 resurfacing – A resurfacing project begins April 4 on Interstate 77, from the Noble County line to Macksburg. The southbound driving lane and shoulder will be closed.
Estimated completion: Aug. 15.
¯ Interstate 77 bridge deck repair – A bridge deck repair project is taking place on Interstate 77, just north of the West Virginia state line. The northbound driving lane is closed. Additionally, the exit 1 ramp to Ohio 7/Marietta off I-77 northbound is closed. The detour is exit 6/Ohio 821. The I-77 north exit ramp off Ohio 7 north (Pike Street) is closed. The detour is I-77 south (Parkersburg) exit to exit 185 (Williamstown) to I-77 north.
Estimated completion: April 11.
¯ Village of Beverly intersection improvement – An intersection improvement project begins April 4 in the Village of Beverly. Signal and pedestrian improvements will take place at the intersection of Ohio 60 and Ferry/Center/McIntosh/Ullman streets. Periodic land closures will be in place.
Estimated completion: Sept. 1.
¯ Ohio 339 bridge painting – A bridge painting project begins April 11 on Ohio 339, on the bridge over the Muskingum River between Beverly and Waterford. One lane will be closed. Traffic will be maintained with temporary signals.
Estimated completion: Nov. 1.
¯ Ohio 145 culvert replacement – A culvert replacement project begins on April 11 on Ohio 145 between Paw Paw Creek Road (Township Road 38) and Stille Road (Township Road 319). The road will be closed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Estimated completion: April 11.
¯ Ohio 145 concrete gutter and catch basin installation – A concrete gutter and catch basin installation project begins April 11 on Ohio 145, between East Fork Road (Township Road 388) and Wetzler Road (Township Road 311). One lane will be closed. Traffic will be maintained with temporary signals.
Estimated completion: April 15.
MONROE COUNTY
¯ Ohio 537 landslide repair/realignment – A landslide repair and realignment project is taking place on Ohio 537.
The project involves the construction of a new 0.55 mile section of Ohio 537, which includes retaining walls, drainage structures, and the removal of a portion of existing Ohio 537.
From April 1 through Sept. 1, the road will be closed between Township Road 678 and Township Road 307. ODOT's detour is Ohio 537 to Ohio 260 to Ohio 26.
Estimated project completion: Dec. 1.
¯ Ohio 260 resurfacing – A resurfacing project is taking place on Ohio 260, from Ohio 565 to the Noble County line. Traffic is being maintained by flaggers.
Estimated completion: June 30.
¯ Ohio 78 rockslide repair – A rockslide repair project is taking place on Ohio 78 between Ohio 536 and Township Road 378. Traffic is being maintained by flaggers.
Estimated completion: Aug. 15.
¯ County Road 12 bridge replacement – A bridge replacement project begins April 4 on County Road 12, between Brownsville and Ohio 800. The road will be closed. The detour is Ohio 800 north to Mechanicsburg Road to County Road 40 to County Road 12.
Estimated completion: July 31.
