¯ On Feb. 6, Deputy Harlow filed a summons on a juvenile for disorderly conduct.

¯ On Feb. 7, Deputy Davis was patrolling Ohio 7 northbound when he observed a vehicle traveling southbound at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was conducted and the speed confirmed at 70 mph in a posted 60 mph zone. A check through dispatch confirmed the driver, Chelsea R. Durham, 32129 Welchtown Road, Pomeroy, had a suspended license. A citation was issued to Durham for driving under suspension.

¯ On Feb. 7, Deputy Tucker began an investigation into an accidental gunshot wound.

¯ On Feb. 8, Deputy Schwendeman began an investigation into a possible stolen firearm which had been left in a rental vehicle when the vehicle was returned to the business.

¯ On Feb. 8, Captain Carr was advised that Rodney Hill, an inmate in the Washington County Jail, had assaulted another inmate. The victim approached Hill and engaged him in a verbal altercation. The victim reportedly shoved Hill as they were arguing and turned to leave the area. Hill followed the victim and struck him in the back of the head with a closed fist. The victim fell to the ground with Hill. The victim was provided medical treatment. Hill stated that the victim had a “bad phone call” and was banging the phone when he (Hill) told him to stop, as this is how they communicate with their family. The victim allegedly replied that he didn’t care about his family. Rodney Dakota Hill, 22, Cutler, was charged with assault.

¯ On Feb. 9, Deputy Harlow began an investigation and upon completion requested a summons to be issued to a juvenile for menacing.

¯ On Feb. 9, Deputy Eichhorn began an investigation into a dog bite in Grandview Township.

¯ On Feb. 9, Deputy Gainer began an investigation in Belpre Township in reference to a catalytic converter being removed from a Dodge vehicle.

¯ On Feb.10, Deputy Windland began an investigation into a stolen stop sign from Newport Township.

¯ On Feb. 10, Lt. Parks was on patrol in the 900 block of Lake Road, Dunham Township, when a white SUV pulled to the side of the roadway. Contact was made with the sole occupant/driver, Lexi Chanel Wade, to ascertain if everything was okay. Wade had driven to the location to get phone service. A glass smoking device, commonly used to inhale marijuana, was observed on the front passenger seat. A search revealed a clear container with a brownish substance, along with a canister of butane. A baggie of suspected marijuana also was located along with a marijuana cigarette. A Miranda warning was given, with Wade reportedly stating she understood and the marijuana was hers and the waxlike substance was drugs. A summons is being requested for Wade, 23, 7960 Veto Road, Belpre, on a charge of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

¯ On Feb. 11, Deputy Tucker was patrolling southbound on Ohio 7 in Belpre Township. A vehicle was observed traveling 100 mph in a posted 50 mph zone, which was confirmed by radar. Once it was possible to stop the vehicle, the driver was identified as Louis Elliott Waller II, 22, of Canonsburg, Pa., who stated he was trying to get back home to college. A speed citation was issued to Waller.

¯ On Feb. 11, deputies were dispatched to Greenhill Road, Warren Township, to a report of Thomas Murray having physically placed his hands on another individual. Murray had pushed the individual up against the kitchen sink and held them there. Murray had also swung at them, although he missed. Murray also grabbed them by the throat while pushing them around. Murray advised deputies that after a night out he had a verbal argument with the subject, but did not put his hands on them, and was not physical in any way. Thomas Eugene Murray, 46, Marietta, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail. Murray tested at a blood alcohol content of 0.207 at the Washington County Jail.

¯ On Feb. 11, Deputy Windland was on patrol in Adams Township when he observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the oncoming lane. The vehicle was traveling at 70 mph in a posted 55 mph zone, which was confirmed by radar. A traffic stop was conducted and a speed citation was issued to Tami J. Wilson, 6758 N. Ohio 78, McConnelsville.

¯ On Feb. 12 Deputy Windland was on patrol in Independence Township when he observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the oncoming lane. The vehicle was traveling at 73 mph in a posted 55 mph zone, which was confirmed by radar. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Amy A. Geho, 100 N. Bridge Street, New Martinsburg, W.Va., was issued a citation for speed.

¯ On Feb. 13, Deputy Peters and Deputy Ullom were stationary at the 16-mile marker of Interstate 77, Aurelius Township. A vehicle identified as a 2022 Tesla was operating on expired tags (October 2022). When passing the location of the deputies, the driver appeared to be trying to conceal himself behind the B pillar of the vehicle. Deputies began patrolling in the direction of the vehicle and the vehicle began to slow, approximately 10 miles per hour below the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was conducted at the 8-mile marker. Contact was made with the operator, Dillon D. Rogers, who gave consent to have the vehicle searched. A white, chalky unknown substance found in the front trunk of the vehicle was consistent with suspected drugs. A secondary pat down was conducted by Deputy Ullom, which revealed a large bulge between the subject’s legs. When asked about the bulge, Rogers produced approximately 225.74 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Dillon Devon Rogers, 29, 1210 Crestview Ave., Akron, was placed under arrest for possession of drugs.

¯ On Feb. 14, Deputy Martin began an investigation into an assault in Waterford Township.

¯ On or about Feb. 15, at the Washington County Jail, inmate John Nicolas Wooten was found to have an active warrant for receiving stolen property out of the 21st Judicial Circuit, St. Louis County, Missouri. Wooten was identified by his Social Security number and date of birth. A charge of fugitive from justice was filed on Wooten, 31, of 122 Oak Drive, Little Hocking.

¯ On Feb. 16, Deputy Norris began an investigation into damage done in the Village of Lowell baseball fields and park.

¯ Ericlee Harmon Jr., 33, aggravated possession of drugs, complicity to aggravated possession of drugs and abduction, all felonies.

¯ Marshall Charles Kremer, 43, Parkersburg, probation violation, a misdemeanor.
