COLUMBUS -- The Ohio Pharmacists Association announced that Austin Hilverding, R.Ph., PharmD was installed as a trustee representing District 8 at the association's 145th Annual Conference April 14-16 in Columbus.
Hilverding is pharmacist and part-owner of Shrivers Pharmacy and Wellness in Belpre, which is slated to open this summer. Shrivers Pharmacies have committed to preventative health, caring for patients through immunization, immune support consultations, and medication therapy management.
Hilverding earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy. He serves the association on its Legal Regulatory Committee and the Independent Special Interest Group. Hilverding will begin his third term as District 8 Trustee.
"As a community pharmacist, Austin has been a valued member of the Association, and we look forward to his continued involvement on the Board of Trustees," Donald Bennett, interim executive director of the association, said.
The association, established in 1879, represents more than 4,000 pharmacists, pharmacy educators, and pharmacy students throughout the state. It is OPA's mission to unite the profession of pharmacy and encourage interprofessional relations, while promoting public health through education, discussion, and legislation.
