The following subjects were processed into the Washington County Jail March 30 to April 1:

¯ Delbert Daniel Cain, 47, of Marietta, probation violation, a felony.

¯ Russell Leon O'Dell Jr., 56, of New Matamoras, fugitive from justice, a misdemeanor.

¯ Steven Gene Pryor, 60, of Marietta, assault, a misdemeanor.

¯ Chadwick Hayden Hughes, 32, fugitive from justice, a misdemeanor.

¯ Nathaniel Garrett Schaber, 37, of Lewisville, Ohio, failure to comply and obstructing official business, both misdemeanors.

¯ Misty Dawn West, 45, of Stockport, probation violation, a felony.

¯ Eric Robert Koski, 50, of Belpre, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

¯ Tonia Michal Reed, 50, of Belpre, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

¯ Curtis Michael Lewis, 40, of Marietta, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

¯ Shannah Maria Turpin, 27, of Marietta, probation violation, a felony.

¯ Paul Anthony Wallace II, 31, of Marietta, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

¯ Rebecca Lou Sergent, 32, of Marietta, parole violation, a felony.

¯ Georges Emmanuel, 32, of Marietta, OVI alcohol, drug of abuse or both, improper lane usage and turn/stop signals, all misdemeanors.

¯ Zachary Todd Lindemood, 30, of Woodsfield, driving under suspension, possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors; failure to comply, tampering with evidence, possession of drugs, all felonies.

¯ John Christopher Fortney, 34, of Lowell, domestic violence, a misdemeanor; and parole violation, a felony.

¯ Kirk Russell Slider, 29, of Wingett Run, probation violation and OVI alcohol drug of abuse or both, both misdemeanors.

¯ Barbara May Wyant, 59, of Parkersburg, domestic violence, a felony; and obstructing official business, a misdemeanor.

¯ Dakota Wayne McCune, 19, of Parkersburg, OVI, alcohol drug of abuse or both, a misdemeanor.

¯ On March 28 Deputy Gainer was dispatched to a Wesley Township address for a report of Dana Harrison assaulting an individual. Harrison had left the residence prior to the arrival of law enforcement. The victim reported that an argument began with Harrison. The victim and Harrison were then in separate areas of the home at which time Harrison, after gathering some belongings, went to the bedroom demanding firearms from a safe. Harrison then struck the victim with a closed fist. Harrison then left the residence. Attempts to locate Harrison met with negative results. A warrant was requested and issued through Marietta Municipal Court for the arrest of Dana Nigel Harrison, 51, of Cutler, on a charge of domestic violence.

¯ On March 29 Deputy Windland and Deputy Young began an investigation in Newport Township regarding a theft by scam involving a reported computer virus.

¯ On March 29 Deputy Tucker responded to Profusion, BF Goodrich Road, Marietta, to a report of damage done at the business.

¯ On March 29 Sgt. Parks was on patrol on Ohio 676, Warren Township, when she was behind a vehicle that continued to swerve over the fog line and the center double yellow. A traffic stop was conducted. The driver was Russell E. Arnold. Arnold agreed to field sobriety tests, however he performed poorly on those. Arnold, 60, of Pottmeyer Road, Waterford, was placed under arrest and charged with OVI. He was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

¯ On March 30 Deputy Davis completed a private property accident report for Aaron Fulton, of Vincent, and Anthony Stout, of Vincent. Fulton was backing into a parking spot and struck Stout's vehicle. There was no damage to Fulton's vehicle and moderate damage to Stout's vehicle, according to the report.

¯ On March 30 after a traffic stop of a vehicle driven by Russell O'Dell Jr. for expired registration, an active warrant was located out of Pleasants County. Deputy Windland arrested Russell Leon O'Dell Jr., 56, of 1695 Ohio 260, New Matamoras, for the warrant. After comparing O'Dell's information with the warrant information it was found that this was the correct individual. A charge of being a fugitive from justice was filed on O'Dell and he was transported to the Washington County Jail.

¯ On March 31 Deputy Gainer met with Hunter Walker, who came to the sheriff's station reporting he was assaulted by Kenneth Casada at 115 Longacre St., Marietta Township. Walker stated he was in a verbal argument, over the phone, when Casada showed up at the residence to confront him. Casada and Walker then got in a physical altercation that left Walker with bruising and red marks on areas of his body. Deputies responded to Longacre Street to speak with Casada, who confirmed the verbal argument with Walker. Casada also stated there was a physical altercation as well, with Casada being left with scratch marks and bruising on the inside of both arms. Both Kenneth A. Casada, 50, of 117 Longacre St., Marietta, and Hunter Allen Walker, 20, of 115 Longacre St., Marietta, will be summoned to Marietta Municipal Court on charges of disorderly conduct.

¯ On March 31 deputies responded to Salem Township in reference to a suspicious person beating on a resident's door. Deputies located Chadwick Hughes, who had an active warrant for his arrest out of Roane County, W.Va. Information in the warrant was checked and he was verified to be the correct individual. Chadwick Hayden Hughes, 32, of 3750 Oka Road, Chloe, W.Va., was placed under arrest and charged with being a fugitive from justice and transported to the Washington County Jail.

¯ On March 31 Deputy Davis was on patrol in Warren Township when he observed a traffic violation. A traffic stop was conducted near Blue Knob Road. Before Deputy Davis could exit his vehicle, the driver, later identified as Nathaniel Schaber, exited his vehicle and began approaching the front of the patrol car while shouting at Deputy Davis. Schaber was given several commands to get back in his vehicle, which he refused. Schaber also refused to provide any identification as he was instructed. Schaber then returned to his vehicle and drove off southbound on Ohio 7. Deputy Davis followed Schaber's vehicle with the emergency lights activated, as well as the siren. Schaber then pulled over just south of Gravel Bank Road. Deputy Davis approached the vehicle and ordered Schaber out of the vehicle several times, which he would not comply with. After a short time with Schaber refusing to exit the vehicle he finally did, and he was placed under arrest. Nathaniel Garrett Schaber, 37, of 46263 Ohio 545, Lewisville, was charged with obstructing official business and failure to comply. Schaber was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

¯ On March 31 Deputy Schwendeman began an investigation into a Honda scooter missing from Newport Township.

¯ On March 31 Deputy Thornberry began an investigation in reference to a subject's identity being stolen.

¯ On March 31 Deputy Schwendeman began an investigation into a catalytic converter being removed from a transport van in Marietta Township.

¯ On April 1 Deputy Peters began an investigation into a scam/theft of a subject who was using a known social media site to look for work from home.

¯ On April 1 Deputy Stillson was dispatched to a Salem Township address, to a report of John Christopher Fortney screaming and breaking things.Fortney was found wielding a crowbar. While trying to calm Fortney, who was acting erratically, Fortney threw the crowbar at deputies. Fortney was eventually able to be calmed and checked by EMS. Fortney, 34, was transported for treatment and was charged with domestic violence and processed at the Washington County Jail.

¯ On April 1 while patrolling the 17000 block of Ohio 7, Warren Township, Deputy Gainer observed a vehicle with West Virginia registration traveling 15 to 20 mph below the posted 60 mph zone for several miles. A traffic stop was initiated and the vehicle slowed and pulled to the left side of the roadway and stopped, still in the roadway. Deputy Gainer detected a strong odor of marijuana upon contacting the male. Deputy Gainer asked the subject to pull the vehicle to the right side of the roadway. Deputy Gainer again made contact with Dakota Wayne McCune, the operator. McCune advised he was coming from a friend's house heading back to his residence in West Virginia. The smell of marijuana continued coming from inside the vehicle. McCune stated he had smoked marijuana prior to getting in the vehicle to drive home, and believed he was fine to be operating a vehicle. McCune's eyes appeared to be glassy and bloodshot and his pupils were dilated. McCune was asked to exit the vehicle and perform standardized field sobriety testing, which he did poorly. McCune was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail on a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

¯ On April 2 Deputy Peters, while patrolling HarMarch Street, Pioneer Township, observed a passenger car bearing Ohio registration commit a traffic violation. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and contact was made with the driver, Demetrius Campbell. A strong odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle upon approaching the driver. A search of the vehicle yielded 91.43 grams of marijuana. Demetrius Rateef Campbell, 29, of 305 Lee St., Apt. 2, Belpre, was issued a citation for possession of marijuana.

¯ William David Richards, 33, of Marietta, aggravated possession of drugs two counts, and breach of recognizance, all felonies; and contempt of court.

¯ John Braxton Gonchoff, 29, of Moundsville, W.Va., theft, a felony; and criminal trespass, a misdemeanor.

¯ Jason Marchk Snyder, 28, of Dresden, extortion, a felony.

¯ Christopher Paul Cook, 32, of Marietta, possession of fentanyl, a felony.

¯ Charles Elwood Corp, 33, of Stockport, aggravated possession of drugs a felony, and probation violation, a misdemeanor.

¯ Shawn David Dalrymple, 38, of Marietta, criminal damaging, a misdemeanor.

¯ Chad Eric Morgenstern, 44, of Marietta, breach of recognizance, aggravated menacing two counts, and obstructing official business, all misdemeanors.

¯ Jarrett Lanny Travis Mull, 24, of Newport, assault, a misdemeanor.

¯ Niesha Nicole Sheets, 32, of Marietta, possession of drugs, two counts and sex offender failure to register change of address, all felonies.

¯ Candace Mae Gibson, 39, of Belpre, trafficking and possession of fentanyl, aggravated trafficking in drugs and aggravated possession of drugs, all felonies.

¯ Tanner David Meek, 30, of Marietta, parole violation, a felony.

¯ Rocky Shawn Simmons, 51, of Ravenswood, probation violation, a felony.

¯ Thurman William Henry Perdue, 48, of Marietta, parole violation, a felony, driving under suspension and turn stop signals, both misdemeanors.

¯ Martin Lenard Elrod, 41, of Lindsey, probation violation, a misdemeanor.
