The Selby General Hospital 24th annual Golf Outing raised $47,835 for community health initiatives and enhancement of care, Memorial Health System and the Memorial Health Foundation announced.

The tournament was held May 15 at the Marietta Country Club.

Winning the tournament was the foursome of Mike Iaderosa, Ed Wright, Ryan Elliott and Vince Black from team No Names.

Twenty-five teams participated. Peoples Bank was the lunch sponsor and the Platinum Companies team was the beverage sponsor.

“We are overwhelmed by the incredible generosity and support shown by the community during the golf outing,” Jarrett Stull, executive director of Memorial Health Foundation, said. “The funds raised will enable us to expand our services to patients at Selby General Hospital, benefiting the health and well-being of countless individuals.

“We are deeply grateful for everyone who contributed to this remarkable achievement,” he said.

Selby General is part of the Memorial Health System.

The proceeds of the tournament will enable the purchase of equipment, Jody Bullman, president of Selby General and vice president of Surgical and Cardiac Services.

“The golf outing exemplifies the strong sense of community we have here at Memorial Health System,” Bullman said. “Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.”

The funds will be used to purchase a new portable X-ray machine that will enhance diagnostic capabilities and ensure prompt and accurate care for patients, she said.
