On May 4 and 5 the Fort Frye FFA attended the State FFA Convention in Columbus with 30 FFA members.

While at the Convention the chapter was recognized on stage during each session. During the first session Fort Frye had member Katerina Solnickova walk across the stage for the Charitable Giving Recognition. This honor is given to each chapter in Ohio that donates over $500 back to its community. This year the Fort Frye chapter made donations to Local Military Servicemen and women, the Humane Society of the Mid-Ohio Valley, Beverly Center Elementary, Overdue Lunch bills at Fort Frye Local Schools, the Beverly-Waterford Food Pantry, and Senior Citizens in the community.

At the next session the chapter watched State Proficiency Finalist Wyatt Fulton, in the Agricultural Maintenance and Repair Placement Category, earn a third place on stage.

The evening session on Thursday, May 4, the chapter cheered on member Taylor Haines for her proficiency in Fruit Production Placement where she placed first in the state. On Friday, May 5, the chapter had three chapter officers receive gold ratings at the State Level and walk across the stage. Congratulations to members: Maggie Fulton — Reporter, Kyla Britton — Treasurer, and Julia Silvus — Secretary.

Later in that session Fort Frye had its first EVER Agriscience Fair Finalists on the stage. The chapter is so proud of eighth-graders Grady Hesson and Ty Worthington for their runner-up finish in the Plant Systems Division 2 Agriscience Fair competition at the state level.

That afternoon members enjoyed Top Golf before heading back for the final session. At the last session of the 95th Ohio FFA Convention there was record breaking attendance. Fort Frye had 10 State FFA Degree recipients walk across stage as a result of their hard work. The State Degree requires 25 hours of community service, $2,500 earned and invested in a Supervised Agricultural Experience, and eight FFA activities above the chapter level. Congratulations to Sydney Barnes, Kail Bauerbach, Dominic Brooker, Alyssa Duskey, Wyatt Fulton, Zachary Huffman, Taylor Miller, Braden Morgenstern, James Shuster and Isaiah Tullius.

The Fort Frye FFA had a very successful State Convention and is looking forward to continued success within the program.
