A new festival specifically to spotlight amputees in the community is to be held at the Amputee Center located at 2311 Ohio Ave Suite B, in the traffic circle, next door to the VA clinic.
The Amputee Center is excited to announce that on July 22, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the first Amputee Fun Festival will happen in the Mid-Ohio Valley. There will be live music, guest speakers, vendors, food trucks, and amputee-specific vendors as well as community members offering services and experiences.
Musical guests are local artists Soph Stevens, Chip and Amanda Goble and Levi and Hanna Westfall. The guest speaker will be Paralympian Dave Whelan.
The center will be open for tours and participants can purchase raffle tickets, festival swag and monthly class passes on the day of the event. The event is a fundraiser for future center activities.
Vendor applications are still being accepted and will be selling merchandise the day of the event.
