One woman critically injured in Ohio 7 crash

Multiple people were taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident that closed Ohio 7 for half an hour Tuesday morning.
Ohio State Highway Patrol Sgt. Eric Knowlton said a red Dodge Caravan, traveling north on Ohio 7 north of Marietta and carrying five people, attempted to turn left onto Products Lane when it collided head-on with a southbound black GMC Acadia around 10:05 a.m. Tuesday.
A passenger in the Caravan, Betty Stimpert, 76, of Lewisville, was ejected in the collision and suffered multiple injuries, he said. Stimpert was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition Tuesday afternoon, a hospital representative said.
The Caravan was driven by a 17-year-old girl, who Knowlton said was issued a citation for failing to yield. Other passengers in the van included an infant and two juveniles.
The Acadia was carrying three people, including the drive Amanda Westfall, 42, address not immediately available, and two juveniles.
"Everybody was transported" to the hospital, Knowlton said.
Westfall was still being assessed Tuesday afternoon, the hospital representative said. Other passengers sustained minor injuries, Knowlton said.
