Tatum Parmer has resigned as a member of the Marietta Community Foundation Board of Directors effective this week, according to a press release from the Foundation.
Parmer's resignation is a result of her family relocating out of the area, the release said. She was a member for three years.
"Serving on the board has been a true pleasure," Parmer said. "It has been so rewarding to witness how our community is making the place I've called home for 23 years a special place."
She added, "The Foundation is instrumental in getting funding to where it is needed most by working closely with nonprofits and leveraging support from generous donors. It has been an honor to be part of this dynamic team and see the impact made."
"Tatum Parmer's impact on Marietta Community Foundation cannot be overstated," said Roland Riggs, chairman of the Foundation's Board of Directors. "Her intelligence, genuine thoughtfulness and extensive expertise in health care have made a significant impact on our mission, contributing to the growth and vibrancy of Washington County."
Meanwhile, the Foundation is looking for volunteers who are residents of Washington County and surrounding areas to join their committees, said Courtney Wentz, communication and marketing director. The release said volunteering as a committee member allows "citizens to have the opportunity to play an active role in shaping the Foundation's initiatives."
