Shortline Junction to perform Thursday in ArtsLink Coffeehouse Series

NEW MARTINSVILLE -- ArtsLink's 2023 Coffeehouse Series will continue with a free concert 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 17, with Shortline Junction. The free 6:30pm concert, sponsored by First Mutual Bank, will be held on the performance deck at the Francis Creative Arts Center at the corner of Maple Avenue and Washington Street in downtown New Martinsville. Ben Tharp, senior member of the band, has been performing music since 1964. He is the lead singer and guitar player with the band. Dustin Tarpenning, on mandolin, plays guitar and banjo. George Daniels is the bass player and sings tenor. Harry Midcap plays a solid bluegrass banjo. Light refreshments will be served and don't forget a lawn chair. In case of foul weather, the concert will be moved indoors.
