The first goals and initiatives for the City of Marietta's new comprehensive planning document will be offered in a public meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday. The in-person meeting site is The Gathering Place, Seventh and Butler streets. The meeting also can be accessed as an online "virtual open house."
The meeting will be led by consultants from Compass Point, the community planning firm from Cincinnati hired to guide the city through its Reimagine Marietta initiative. Those who access the meeting online will be able to ask questions and provide feedback. It will be recorded for those who cannot watch live.
Compass Point also met with local residents two evenings in August, with two of the four city council wards gathered for each evening of listening and feedback. Thursday's virtual presentation incorporates that information.
To participate in the virtual open house, use the project website: www.ReimagineMarietta.com. It will provide a link for the live meeting, plus access to the recording and comment forms.
