The 152nd Barlow Fair begins today

BARLOW — The 152nd Barlow Fair, the oldest in Ohio, will be held today through Sunday at the Barlow Fairgrounds.

The annual parade is 6 p.m. Friday. The 2023 parade marshal is Allen Clark, a retired teacher at Warren High School where he was named the 1988 Outstanding Vocational Education Teacher in Ohio, among other awards he has received throughout his career.

Today

All entries must be in by 8 p.m. for rabbits, feeder calves, poultry and market dairy goats.

¯ 4:30-5 p.m., market goat weigh in

¯ 5-8 p.m., entries for T-building, Lad and Lassies and produce; weigh in for feeder calves

Thursday

All other livestock in place by noon

¯ 8-10 a.m., entries for T-Building

¯ Noon, Lads and Lassies/4-H booth; judging and produce judging

¯ 3 p.m., gates open; judging for T-Building

¯ 4 p.m., judging flowers and still exhibits

¯ 5:30 p.m., Poultry Showmanship

¯ 6 p.m., Tug Tractor Pull, 11,000 and 13,000 pound class

¯ 6:30 p.m., Beef Show; Dairy Show

¯ 7 p.m., Teen Open Mic hosted by Soph Stevens

Rides will be provided by Big O Amusements. All rides are free on Thursday. Rides are open Thursday 6-10 p.m., Friday 6-11 p.m., Saturday noon- 5 p.m. and 6-11 p.m., and Sunday noon to 4 p.m.
