Breast Cancer Awareness Month will be observed at the O'Neill Center at 1 p.m. Monday with a presentation by Dr. Rajendra Bhati, MD, a general surgery specialist in Marietta who has more than 20 years of experience in the medical field.
He will be discussing the importance of awareness, early detection, self-examinations, mammography and the risk factors associated with breast cancer.
Bhati graduated from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2002. He is affiliated with such medical facilities as Memorial Health System and Jackson General Hospital.
