Oct. 10:
¯ Joseph Chamberlain, 43, was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail on a public indecency warrant. A separate investigation from the public indecency complaint was initiated and resulted in Joseph Chamberlain being charged with felony voyeurism and possessing criminal tools. The criminal complaints were served to Chamberlain while he was in jail.
¯ Police were dispatched to the Super 8 Motel on Acme Street about a criminal damaging complaint. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victims, who said a female had damaged their vehicle with a knife and threatened them. A warrant has been requested for the suspect.
¯ Police were dispatched to the Marietta Police Department about a disorderly conduct report. An officer made contact with the victim, who said a female had spit on her vehicle as she left a residence on Ray Street.
¯ Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Warren Street in regard to threats made by phone. Police learned the threats made were not credible and both parties were given cease and desist warnings and a warning for telecommunications harassment.
Oct. 11:
¯ Officers responded to the 100 block of Dawes Circle about a domestic disturbance. After investigation, Taylor Alan Rogers, 25, was arrested and charged with domestic violence and strangulation.
¯ Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Wooster Street about a disturbance. Upon arrival, it was found that the suspect, Donald D. Davidson, 59, tried to physically assault his adult son. Donald Davidson was charged with domestic violence and taken to the Washington County Jail.
¯ Police investigated an unruly juvenile who left his house without permission. The juvenile was located and returned to his parents. The juvenile will be summoned through Washington County Juvenile Court for being an unruly juvenile.
Oct. 12:
¯ Police were dispatched to 105 Fort Square about a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, units made contact with the victim, who said his vehicle had been stolen from that location while he was inside. The victim said the vehicle wasn't running but the keys were still in the ignition. The vehicle was located approximately two hours later, crashed in the county. The suspect was located with the vehicle but would not admit to the theft. Ohio State Highway Patrol will be charging the suspect with receiving stolen property and drug possession.
¯ Police responded to Walmart about a theft complaint. It was learned that a female had stolen $104.50 worth of clothing, jewelry and baby items. Police arrested Michelle L. Satterfield, 38, for theft and released her on a personal recognizance bond.
Oct. 13:
¯ Police received a non-emergency call from a Georgia man, saying that he has inadvertently come into possession of a firearm stolen in Marietta 43 years ago. The incident remains under investigation.
¯ Police were dispatched to the 300 block of E. Spring Street about a domestic violence incident. The suspect had left the area before police arrived. Andrew Brooks Beaver, 42, was later located in Reno and was arrested for domestic violence after striking his wife repeatedly and disrupting public services by preventing the victim from using her phone to call for help.
¯ Police responded to the 100 block of Knox Street about a disturbance. Police conducted an investigation that resulted in Shyla Loria Hammontree, 19, being arrested for violation of a protection order.
¯ Police responded to Walmart about a shoplifting complaint. A man was caught trying to steal $34 in sports cards. He turned over the items and fled, but was identified. A warrant was requested for theft.
Oct. 14:
¯ Police responded to the 200 block of Greene Street about a fight where a firearm was brandished. After investigation, a firearm was recovered from a vehicle for safe keeping.
¯ Police were dispatched to Walmart about a shoplifting. A Woodsfield couple tried to shoplift $62 in merchandise. Both will be summoned to court for theft.
¯ Police responded to Tiber Way about a theft complaint. Police conducted an investigation and the item referred to in the complaint was returned to the owner, Timothy Vincent. Vincent, 42, was extremely intoxicated and was given several cease and desist orders, based on his behavior. He failed to comply and police arrested him for disorderly conduct cease and desist and took him to jail.
Oct. 16:
¯ Police were dispatched to Walmart about a shoplifter. Upon arrival police observed the CCTV footage of the concealment of $147 in merchandise. Dakota Brooke Evans, 21, and Brandon Robert Hehle, 37, both of Marshall County, W.Va., were arrested for theft and released on a personal recognizance bond.
