¯ One 911 hang up call was received.
¯ Deputy Davis responded to Ohio 7, Marietta Township, to a report of Devonn Curtis choking a subject. The victim was outside and advised Curtis had left in a car headed towards Pike Street. A traffic stop for Curtis was performed once he was located. Curtis said he was involved earlier in an argument and stated he left to get away from the situation. He said he was in a room speaking to someone when the victim told him to get out. Deputies determined that Curtis and two other subjects, including the victim, were in the living room when Curtis suddenly jumped up and demanded "his money," sticking his finger in the victim's mouth, pulling out on their cheek, then choking them with his hands and throwing their glasses across the room to the ground. Devonn Curtis, 64, 27335 Ohio 7, Lot 13, Marietta, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence and strangulation. He was taken to the Washington County Jail.
¯ Deputy Aultman, along with other deputies, assisted the Devola Volunteer Fire Department squad at the scene of a deceased individual.
¯ Deputies conducted follow up and served and/or attempted to serve civil paperwork and active warrants.
¯ Deputies conducted residence checks and extra patrol requests as needed.
¯ The following written/verbal warnings were issued for traffic violations: expired/suspended operator's license, driving without headlights, turn signals, passing on double yellow, license plate light, speed and window tint.
¯ Deputies responded to Waterford Township to help a subject who believed people were on the property.
¯ A deputy stopped to check a subject who was walking. The subject had just lost a tire off a vehicle and was looking for it.
¯ Deputies responded to help a Muskingum Township resident who found a vehicle parked on his property. The resident was familiar with the subjects once he knew who they were.
¯ A deputy stopped to assist the driver of a disabled vehicle. The subject had help on the way.
¯ A deputy, along with a Humane Society officer, responded to the St. Marys bridge. Pleasants County Animal Control had located an injured dog in the river.
¯ A deputy assisted the Marietta Police Department in searching for a subject in the Marietta area. The deputy was able to contact the subject.
¯ A report of subjects in Newport Township smoking marijuana was checked. No evidence of drug possession or use was found.
¯ Deputies responded to Barlow Township to a report of subjects/juveniles around a residence and vehicles.
¯ A deputy assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol in looking for a subject in the Waterford area.
¯ A deputy met with subjects about posts/photographs made by other individuals being on Facebook. The subjects were advised of their options.
Sept. 25
¯ Eight 911 hang up calls were received.
¯ Deputies conducted follow up, patrolled school zones and served and/or attempted civil paperwork and active warrants.
¯ Deputies conducted residence checks and extra patrol requests as needed.
¯ The following written/verbal warnings were issued for traffic violations: driving habits, failure to maintain lanes of travel, lanes of travel, speed, improper registration and improper turning.
¯ Deputy Gainer began an investigation in Barlow Township at the Dollar General, where a female left with numerous items without paying.
¯ A report of a subject driving/circling in a business parking lot was made. The subject was found to be staying at the establishment.
¯ Deputies responded to Barlow Township to a report of subjects beating on windows. The situation was resolved.
¯ A deputy responded to Grandview Township about a report of suspicious subjects. Nothing was found tampered with and no subjects were located.
¯ A deputy, assisted by the Beverly Police Department, responded for assistance with a child refusing to go to school.
¯ An alarm was answered in Marietta Township. The alarm was determined to be accidental.
¯ A Dunham Township resident reported trespassers on his property. The resident left the office before meeting with a deputy.
¯ An alarm was answered in Wesley Township. The alarm was determined to be accidental.
¯ An alarm was answered in Barlow Township. The alarm was determined to be accidental.
¯ A deputy was asked to help the Belpre PD on an investigation.
¯ A deputy stopped at a disabled vehicle. The subject was changing a flat tire.
¯ A deputy was requested to help the Licking County Sheriff's Office on an investigation.
¯ A deputy responded to Warren Township to a report of two loose dogs. The dogs were returned to their owner.
¯ A report was made of subjects driving through property in Dunham Township where other subjects were starting to move into the premises.
¯ A report of loud music was made from Grandview Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail Sept. 26:
¯ Braden Dwight Ramage, 29, Marietta, probation violation, a misdemeanor; and possession of drugs, a felony.
¯ Makayla Lynn Wright, 27, Marietta, possession of drugs, a felony.
¯ Samantha Josephine Somers, 34, Bainbridge, Ohio, obstructing official business and driving under suspension, both misdemeanors.
¯ Jason Anthony Dick, 45, Patriot, Ohio, obstructing official business, a misdemeanor; and parole violation and aggravated possession of drugs, both felonies.
¯ Kirkland Michael Dennewitz, 27, Racine, driving under suspension, contempt of court, obstructing official business, illegal use of possession of drug paraphernalia and fictitious plates, all misdemeanors; and breach of recognizance, possession of drugs, sex offender failure to change address and aggravated possession of drugs, all felonies.
¯ Isaac Donte Blair, 27, Marietta, possession of drugs, a felony.
¯ Edward Ray Conley, 58, Marietta, possession of drugs, a felony.
¯ Jonathan David McIntyre, 36, New Matamoras, fugitive from justice, possession of drugs and contempt of court, all misdemeanors.
¯ Mitchell Lee Greenwood, 38, Newport, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
There are 23 women and 79 men housed in the Washington County Jail at this time.
