Leavitt Funeral Services participating in Wreaths Across America initiative

PARKERSBURG -- Leavitt Funeral Services and Crematory will participate in the Wreaths Across America initiative for the 17th straight year on Dec. 16, the organization announced via press release Monday.
Wreaths Across America holds a national day of remembrance called National Wreaths Across America Day, where individuals take wreaths and place them on veterans' graves. The release states Leavitt Funeral Services and Crematory is one of 3,700 locations nationwide participating in this event. Wreaths will cost $17 each and the deadline to order is Nov. 21.
"Honoring our veterans is important and our staff looks forward to taking orders and providing the wreaths to sponsors so they can be placed on the headstones of our local heroes," Jon Leavitt, owner and funeral director, said.
Leavitt Funeral Services and Crematory has participated in this event since 2006 and has grown more popular each year.
"The Wreaths Across America Project has grown into a national, yearlong movement of dedicated volunteers and communities coming together to teach the next generation about the value of freedom while honoring veterans," Leavitt said.
