The Washington County Board of Elections completed its canvass of the Nov. 7 election Wednesday afternoon with no changes to the outcomes of any races.
However, narrow margins of victory will lead to automatic recounts in two local races.
"We have officially accepted the results," said Board Deputy Director Karen Pawloski. "We have a recount in two races: Marietta City Council at-large seat and Liberty Township fiscal officer."
Both races have automatic recounts due to the differences in candidate totals being within one half of 1% of the total votes cast.
The Marietta City Council at-large seat recount is between newcomer Republican Ben Rutherford and incumbent Democrat Bill Farnsworth, with Rutherford at 1,687 votes and Farnsworth at 1,662.
Farnsworth could not immediately be reached for comment Wednesday.
Judy Mercer won the Liberty Township fiscal officer race over Miranda Fleeman, 41-40.
"The official recount of the two local races will be Monday, Nov. 27," Pawloski said.
There were 220 provisional ballots counted. The board also received 52 additional absentee ballots, but only 44 could be counted due to the others being sent in after the postmark date.
