Sept. 26
≤ Deputy Wallace was dispatched to the Belpre Campus of MMH ER in reference to a juvenile with a knife wound to the hand. The juvenile was unsure of the exact location, since she was a passenger in a truck, but stated the incident possibly happened on Waterford Road, Watertown Township. Deputy Wallace met with the juvenile who said Ethan Ross was upset about a social media account and took her phone. A verbal argument began and continued as they got into Ross' vehicle. The victim tried to get her phone back to contact her mother but was unsuccessful because the passenger truck door wasn't opening. Ross had taken the handle off so the door would not open. The juvenile said she attempted to jump out the window, but Ross took out a box cutter, opened it, and stated he was "going to kill" her. Ross informed the juvenile to stay still and keep her hands down and off the window. The juvenile was scared and put up a fight with Ross, who was putting his hands around her neck. The juvenile said she tried to grab the box cutter from Ross, but was unsuccessful and ended up with a deep laceration to her hand. An attempt to locate Ross was unsuccessful on Sept. 26. A warrant was requested and issued through Marietta Municipal Court on a charge of kidnapping and felonious assault. On Sept. 28, during a sting operation in Washington County, officers recognized Ross in the area and were successful in placing him under arrest on the outstanding warrants. Ethan Adam Ross, 22, 100 Water St., Lowell, was arrested for kidnapping and felonious assault.
Sept. 27
≤ Jail Lt. Timberman was working at the Washington County Jail when an inmate, Jonathan David McIntyre, 36, 46091 Ohio 7, New Matamoras, was found to have an active warrant out of Pleasants County. McIntyre was identified by his date of birth and Social Security number, along with physical descriptors, showing him as the same individual wanted by Pleasants County for theft without consent, a misdemeanor. A charge of fugitive from justice was filed on McIntyre.
Sept. 28
≤ Deputies attempted a warrant for Jessica Warner. Warner was located and taken to the Washington County Jail.
≤ Deputies attempted a warrant on Jeremy Stone. Stone was located and taken to the Washington County Jail.
≤ A deputy assisted the Warren Volunteer Fire Department at the scene of a single-vehicle accident in Warren Township.
≤ A welfare check was completed on a subject who had walked away from a facility where the subject is allowed to come and go. The subject was located and returned to the facility.
≤ A welfare check was completed on a juvenile after concerning posts on social media. The juvenile was found to be okay.
≤ A deputy assisted the Marietta Police Department with transporting a female to WVU Medicine Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.
Sept. 29
≤ Deputy Ullom was patrolling I-77 southbound when he observed a vehicle bearing Ohio registration make marked lane violations. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver, Markie M. White. Deputy Davis arrived with K9 Ivar. K9 Ivar conducted a free air sniff around the vehicle and indicated on the front driver door. A search of the vehicle yielded two packages with 0.65 grams and 1.07 grams of cocaine. After White was advised of her Miranda Rights she admitted to the packages containing cocaine. Markie Marie White, 34, 950 Nantucket Circle NE, Apt. A, Alliance, was arrested and charged with possession of drugs. White was taken to the Washington County Jail for processing.
≤ A report was made of possible identity theft. The subject had not experienced financial losses and was advised of her options.
≤ A deputy responded to a report of a disorderly incident. The adult child was being disruptive and disrespectful. Complainants were advised of the eviction process.
≤ Deputy Gainer took possession of a counterfeit $100 bill passed in Belpre Township.
Sept. 30
≤ A deputy assisted Belpre PD with an incident on the Belpre Bridge.
≤ A deputy met with subjects who stated there were bones inside a cooler. The bones were found to be part of a deer carcass.
≤ Deputies responded to Barlow Township to a subject having a medical issue. The subject refused medical treatment and had someone with her to assist her further.
≤ Deputies arrested Justin Moore on a warrant out of Franklin County.
≤ A deputy arrested Rae Braley on an active warrant for theft.
Oct. 1
≤ A call about disorderly conduct was transferred from Wood County 911. Subjects were met with and counseled on possible charges if the activity continued.
≤ A deputy stood by at the scene of a car crash until Marietta PD could arrive at Seventh and Pike streets.
≤ A report was made of two adults fighting. Subjects were advised about possible disorderly conduct charges.
≤ A welfare check was requested on a subject who had taken off walking after consuming alcohol and/or drugs. The subject was not located. A call back will be completed if anything further is needed.
≤ Deputy Schwendeman was dispatched to Newport Township to a report of a dog being shot the previous day.
≤ Deputy Schwendeman was dispatched to Muskingum Township to a report of a loose dog biting a subject walking in the roadway.
≤ Deputy Thornberry was dispatched to Belpre Township to a domestic dispute and found a subject lying on the ground. When asked what had occurred he said he had come to the location to pick up something that belonged to him, a camper frame. The victim said while hooking up the item, David Wiggers began coming towards him from the residence with a club-like object, stating that he was going to kill him if he took the camper frame. Wiggers then swung the "club" at the victim and missed. A physical fight then began. David Scott Wiggers, 61, Belpre, was contacted and placed under arrest, charged with domestic violence.
