≤ Sgt. Stillson was patrolling Ohio 339 near the intersection of Beebe Road in Waterford Township when he observed a vehicle with an Ohio registration traveling with a false registration. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Lisa Michelle Bauerbach. Bauerbach, of Cutler, was issued a citation for fictitious license plates.
Nov. 21
≤ Deputy Wallace was on patrol near the 3000 block of Glendale Road, Fearing Township, when she observed a vehicle pull off quickly into a driveway. A male was observed approaching the front door of the home. Deputy Wallace met with another subject at the location and eventually discovered that Dakota Acores had been driving the vehicle without a valid license. A search of the area for Acores met with negative results. A summons is being requested for Dakota S. Acores, 907 Colegate Drive, Apt. B, Marietta.
≤ Deputy Schwendeman responded to the Duke Station, 100 Main St., Adams Township, about a report of a cell phone stolen. The Apple iPhone 12 Pro was valued at $1,500. Video surveillance revealed a male subject entering the restroom during the timeframe the phone would have been taken. While reviewing the video further, an employee spoke with the patron of the store who said the phone was missing and believed the unknown male was with another subject. Shortly after the patron left, the unknown male returned, put the phone on the counter and said, "sorry" before abruptly leaving the store. Deputy Schwendeman met with the subject who identified himself as "Raymond Gibson" and gave a date of birth of 01-20-1958. No information was able to be found on the Gibson subject and the male eventually admitted his name was Richard Milton Starkey, with a date of birth of 01-20-1959. Starkey stated he put his phone on the sink, used the restroom, and must have accidentally picked the other phone up by accident, along with his own phone. Starkey was asked if he only brought the phone back after the patron went up and mentioned it was missing, which he denied. Starkey was detained and while searching his coat pockets a glass smoking device was located, which he said he found in Parkersburg. Richard Milton Starkey, 64, 2927 Otter Lane #5, Charleston, was placed under arrest and charged with theft, obstructing official business and possession of drug paraphernalia. After arrival at the Washington County Jail, Starkey was read the conveyance information by jail personnel and denied having anything illegal on his person. A blue circular pill with the imprint "C1" was found in the key pocket of his pants, with him claiming it was a muscle relaxer. However, its imprint, shape and color indicated it being a 1mg Clonazepam pill, a schedule IV controlled substance. As a result, Starkey was also charged with conveyance into the jail.
Nov. 23
≤ Sgt. Parks was dispatched to Newbury Road, Belpre Township, about someone breaking into the home. The individuals had been arguing over the male wanting the female to move out. The subjects called the sheriff's office to report the incident. It was reported that Steven Frank Simon had told the female "I could shoot you" and was near the gun cabinet. Simon denied making those comments. The female said the defendant was standing beside the gun cabinet when the comment was made. Deputies had been to the residence several times in the past few days and the subjects were advised of the eviction process and were warned of their turbulent behavior. Steven Frank Simon, 48, Little Hocking, was arrested for disorderly conduct cease and desist and taken to the Washington County Jail. The defendant submitted to a Preliminary Breath Test at the request of the jail staff with the result of 0.174.
≤ Deputies responded to a report of a male naked in the roadway in Dunham Township. The subject was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Nov. 24
≤ Deputy Windland began an investigation into a scam where an individual was able to obtain more than $20,000.
≤ A deputy responded to a report of a subject making suicidal threats. The subject was taken for medical treatment.
Nov. 25
≤ Deputy Wallace was on patrol on I-77 southbound, Muskingum Township, pacing a vehicle with W.Va. registration traveling at 79 mph in a posted 70 mph zone. A traffic stop was conducted with the driver, Roy Smith. Smith was asked to exit the vehicle and a pipe was observed on the floorboard of the vehicle. Roy Anthony Moore, 48, Euclid, was placed under arrest for possession of drug abuse instruments.
≤ Deputies responded to a call for service where someone kept knocking on doors late at night. The juveniles were counseled once identified.
≤ Deputies and the local fire department responded to a fully engulfed structure fire in Dunham Township.
Nov. 26
≤ Deputy Gainer, along with other deputies, responded to Warren Township about a domestic dispute. Jarrod Templeton was in an argument over personal issues. No threats or acts of violence were made between the subjects, however Jarrod Templeton said he was in possession of a loaded Taurus 357. Templeton also had been drinking for several hours throughout the night, having approximately five beers. Templeton was offered a Preliminary Breath Test, which he agreed to, testing 0.118. Jarrod Rodney Templeton, 38, Fleming, was placed under arrest and charged with using weapons while intoxicated.
≤ Deputies responded to a welfare check of a subject reported to be wanting to hurt themselves.

≤ Eric Christopher Anderson, 35, Vincent, forgery and theft, both felonies.
≤ Julie Ann Hupp, 46, Parkersburg, theft, a misdemeanor.
≤ Steven Frank Simon, 48, Little Hocking, disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.
≤ Shawn David Cuthbertson, 29, McConnelsville, probation violation, a misdemeanor.
≤ William Howard Brannan, 38, Belpre, sexual battery, a felony.
≤ Roy Anthony Moore, 48, Euclid, possession of drug abuse instruments, a misdemeanor.
≤ Jarrod Rodney Templeton, 38, Fleming, using weapons while intoxicated.
There are 17 women and 76 men housed in the Washington County Jail.
