Christ United Methodist Church in Marietta was awarded a $1,500 West Ohio Conference GoGrant.

The grant will allow area youth to apply for $50-$75 in “Seed Money,” which will help them make more money, in order to do community service projects in and around Washington County.

Youth in grades 6 through 12 can apply. Youth do not need to be connected to any church. They do need to have an adult mentor who will work with them (or one will be assigned). Deadlines to apply are March 1, May 1, July 1, and Sep. 1.
