Martin is a senior at Frontier High School, member of the 2024 Ohio Attorney General Teen Ambassador Board, captain of the Cheer Varsity Cheer Team, CCP student at Washington State College of Ohio and is recently enrolled in the new Cyber Tech Certification Program offered at Washington State. She has been busy the last several months with community projects and events in the Southern Ohio district.
Martin held a “Blessing Box” drive for the Newport Community Food Pantry from Nov. to Dec. The Blessing Boxes had one to ten pound hams, potatoes, stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, gravy, dinner rolls, and desserts. She pledged and donated 80 Blessing Boxes, valued at over $3,000. Martin was able to hand the Blessing Boxes out during the food pantry's monthly disbursements and was the largest amount of food given by the pantry.
She also held a “Blessing Bag” drive for the Washington County Homeless Project in Jan. Martin pledged 100 Blessings Bags to be donated with two pairs of bomba socks, tooth brush, toothpaste, wipes, lotion, chapsticks, hot hands, gloves, water bottles, and snacks.
In addition to the two “Blessing” drives, she has also held a bicycle drive for Jess's House and donated five new adult bicycles to the program.
Martin will head to Washington D.C. in March for three days of autism advocacy work at Advocacy Hill Day. This will be her second year attending the event. She will get to meet and speak with members of Congress about autism legislative priorities that need their support. Last year her biggest highlight from the trip was meeting Bernie Sanders. As an Ohio Attorney General Teen Ambassador Board Member she has also attended several events hosted by Ohio Attorney General, Dave Yost.
