The Marietta Public Library and The Castle will be presenting two unique events during February and early March for the Harry Potter enthusiasts in the Mid-Ohio Valley. Be a part of this Magical Marietta Wizarding Experience!
The Harry Potter Escape Room will happen at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. today at the Marietta Branch Library, 615 Fifth Street, Marietta. Do you have what it takes to solve puzzles, answer riddles, and find the missing Quidditch gear? Find out in this Harry Potter-themed escape room. This event is for ages 7-13 and the limit for each session is 12 so registration is required. To register, stop by the Youth Services department or call 740-373-1057 extension 219.
The Castle's School of Magic and Wizardry takes place on March 2 with two sessions. The First Year Student Session is from 10 a.m. to noon and the Advanced Student Session is from 2-4 p.m. Those interested in honing their magical abilities and knowledge of magical history can enroll now. Students will be divided into three houses and will have the chance to attend three classes. Care of Magical Creatures, History of Magic, and Potions will be taught by three of the school's renowned professors. Snacks and opportunities for faculty and students to min-gle will be provided before classes begin and after school has concluded.
Reservations are required by Feb. 28. Enrollment is limited. Content will be structured for ages ten and above. All are welcome.

The Castle, built in 1855, offers a wide array of tours, educational opportunities, and programs.
Tours are available starting in April and many history-related events throughout the year. Offer-ings include: local historical mock trials, food history, archaeology, summer camps, school and scout education, cemetery tours, teas and luncheons, wedding and facility rental, and much more.
