Commission approves appropriations and transfers
The Washington County Commission approved several additional appropriations and transfers Thursday.
The commissioners approved an additional appropriation of $36,814 for ongoing community projects for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) fund; an additional appropriation of $58,276.85 for the Cross Marietta Project for the engineer fund; an additional appropriation of $370,000 for contract services for the sewer capital projects fund, and additional appropriation of $12,750 for family support through home visit family retention funds for the Washington County Family and Children First Council.
The commissioners also approved several transfers during the Thursday meeting including: $18,075.07 from the county general fund to the investment income motor vehicle gas tax fund for interest earned on revolving loans and MVGT funds; $1.84 from the county general fund to investment income Board of Elections; and $21,082.50 from discretionary merit to salaries for the prosecutor fund; $24,000 from pump station to contract services for the sewer capital projects funds to pay an invoice.
Other items addressed at the meeting include:
*Approved paying bills totaling $1,389,410.
*Approved paying two Then and Now items, which are purchase orders for more than $100. The items totaled $33,4120.
*Approved a memorandum of agreement for the Southeast Ohio Building Department to provide plumbing inspection services for the city of Gallipolis.
*Approved County 911 Director Douglas Moorecton contracting with Arraya Solutions for the replacement of the county’s 911 phone network firewalls for a total cost of $43,329 for the equipment and its installation.
