Voting polls open for Election Day

Washington County officials on Monday afternoon distributed supplies to pollworkers who will be serving at the county's polling locations in today's general election.
Polls will be open today from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. in West Virginia and Ohio for offices from city councils to the White House.
More than 30% of Washington County registered voters cast early ballots as of Nov.1, according to Washington County Board of Elections Director Mandi Amos.
In Ohio, a Senate seat is on the ballot, as well as the 6th District U.S. House of Representatives seat. State House and Senate seats are on the ballot, as well as three seats on the Ohio Supreme Court. Voters are also being asked to consider Issue 1, a state constitutional amendment changing how legislative districts are drawn.
In Washington County, the only contested race is for recorder. There are multiple levies on the ballot in smaller jurisdictions, including an attempt to renew a Belpre City Schools levy voted down in the primary.
West Virginians will choose a new governor, U.S. senator, attorney general and more.
