PARKERSBURG -- More than 30 kids competed Sunday in the second annual Lego Build Off at Discovery World on Market in downtown Parkersburg.
Participants from around the Mid-Ohio Valley - and at least one from as far away as Tucker County - competed individually or in teams of up to three. They were given a theme and 15 minutes to plan and gather their supplies, then two-and-a-half hours to build.
The builds had to have a story behind them, and contestants were judged on creativity, engineering and theme, with bonus points for their backstory.
The winners were:
* Quincy Taylor, solo, age 7-11
* Levi Rem, solo, age 12-15
* Asher and Ezra Dulaney, team, 7-11
* Zoey Wilson, Lila Jenkins and Lainey Pfeifer, team, 12-15
