The Washington County Career Center crowned royalty at its 23rd annual prom Saturday at the Knights of Columbus in Churchtown.
Approximately 300 students, along with chaperones and staff members, attended the prom, with its theme of "Under the Lanterns.
Prom Court king candidates were Domynic Beckett, Tanner Gorham, Timothy Snyder, Austin Wittenbrook and Jaxson Yoho.
Prom Court queen candidates were Skylar Adkins, Emma Brooker, Naomi Lee Oliver, Kelsey Lucas and Janessa Ross.
The 2025 WCCC Prom Royalty are:
* King: Tanner Gorham is a senior from Warren enrolled in the Welding program. He is the son of Jared and Kayla Gorham of Little Hocking.
* Queen: Janessa Ross is a senior from Fort Frye enrolled in the Graphic Design & Video Production program. She is the daughter of Anthony Ross of Marietta and Jessica Smith of Lowell.
* Prince: Timothy Snyder is a senior from Fort Frye enrolled in the Masonry program. He is the son of Kevin Snyder of Parkersburg, nephew of Dale Gilham of Lowell and grandson of Judith Gilham of Lowell.
* Princess: Kelsey Lucas is a senior from Marietta enrolled in the Electricity program. She is the daughter of Diane Blyer of Marietta.
With the student council hosting the event, students have an opportunity to attend the Career Center prom as well as their home school prom.
