Humane Society fundraisers to begin Saturday
ST. MARYS — Three fundraisers are planned beginning Saturday for the Pleasants County Humane Society.
From noon-4 p.m. Saturday, the society will hold a donation drive at Walmart in Marietta where volunteers will collect supplies for the shelter. Baked goods and custom T-shirts also will be sold to raise funds.
All donations will benefit the Humane Society in St. Marys.
Items on the wish list are Pedigree chopped canned food, Purina One canned food, Cesar wet food, Moist and Meaty, Fancy Feast canned cat food, Friskies canned cat food, Sheba Kitten, Sheba Cuts in Gravy, Purina Cat Chow Complete (blue bag), Purina Kitten Chow Complete (yellow bag), Little Bites Dog Chow (brown bag), Quality canned dog, puppy, cat and kitten food, clumping and non-clumping cat litter, litter deodorizer, cat and dog toys, kitten milk replacement, Safe Paws Snow de-icer (green bag) needed during winter months, small, medium and extra large pet carriers, blankets and towels, pet shampoo, flea and tick medication, laundry detergent, bleach, Dawn dishwashing liquid, window cleaner, paper towels, alcohol, tall white kitchen trash bags, Fabulouslo cleaner, Lysol cleaner, Vaseline, first-aid supplies, non-latex gloves, hand sanitizer, plastic watering cans, heavy-duty leaf and lawn bags, grooming supplies, nail clippers, office supplies and copier paper.
The society will also hold a fundraiser July 19 from 4-8 p.m. at Chipotle located at 615 Grand Central Ave., Vienna. By showing a flyer or using the online pickup code YNKNQXN, 25% of all orders will be donated to the shelter.
The shelter will hold a fundraiser on Aug. 19 at Applebee’s in Marietta. By mentioning the fundraiser or showing the official flyer, 25% of all orders will be donated to the society.
