Marietta resident Stephanie Fobes has written a children’s book about kindness entitled “The Lonely Snowman.”

Fobes is a retired kindergarten teacher from Salem-Liberty Elementary School.

Fobes says the names of the characters in the story have a special meaning to her and that the overall theme of the book is that kindness really does matter.

The book is illustrated by Fort Frye art teacher Kathy Allen-Bidwell and was edited by former Fort Frye teacher/Principal Alan Stacy.

The creative team recently visited all three of the Fort Frye Local elementary schools. Thanks to a donor, each child was able to take home a copy of “The Lonely Snowman.”

“The Lonely Snowman” is available for $9.99 at Asylum Comics, 212 Third St., Marietta.

Starting at $2.99/week.
